Precedence SPECT/CT

A Breakthrough in Functional and Molecular Imaging.

The Precedence SPECT/CT system unites 16-slice diagnostic CT with an exceptionally flexible gamma camera for the first time – a true breakthrough in functional and molecular imaging that can aid diagnosis and treatment in cardiology and oncology.  This merged system affords a comprehensive solution, providing registered SPECT, planar and CT images in addition to individual SPECT, CT, or attenuation-corrected nuclear medicine images.  Clinicians can employ the fused SPECT/CT data sets to facilitate localization of pathology or alternatively, can acquire the individual datasets in a single imaging session, improving workflow and patient comfort.

Precedence is distinguished by Philips “Design for Life” qualities, particularly in the system’s Workspace.  The functionality, usability and workflow characteristics of the Brilliance and JETStream Workspace with Precedence module focus on ease of use and integration with other imaging modalities.

Features and Benefits

Breakthough in Hybrid Imaging.

  • The union of SPECT and CT imaging datasets improves diagnostic capabilities and could enable better treatment decisions by providing anatomical localization for use in cardiology and oncology.

Clinical Efficiency

  • JETStream Workspace with Precedence module was developed specifically for SPECT/CT.  It provides clinical efficiency by fully leveraging Philips user-centered design and multi-modality acquisition, processing and review capabilities.

Diagnostic Effectiveness

  • Only Precedence SPECT/CT can perform coronary CT angiography, coronary calcium scoring and attenuation corrected myocardial perfusion in a single imaging session.
  • Precedence SPECT/CT offers a 16-slice CT option when speed and throughput are critical.

High Security of Investment

  • Precedence SPECT/CT is built on advanced platforms such as Brilliance CT and JETStream Workspace that offer a path to the future of Philips technological advances.
  • Precedence SPECT/CT is designed not only to perform currently reimbursable nuclear medicine and CT procedures, but also is a platform for the future – accelerating molecular imaging into the mainstream of care.
