Philips Medical Systems

Setting new standards in Molecular Imaging.

Philips SKYLight is the industry’s first and only gantry-free nuclear camera.  SKYLight’s unique architecture allows gamma detectors to be mounted directly into a room’s structure, creating a gantry-free or “open floor” design.  By removing the limitations associated with conventional floor-mounted systems, the SKYLight can image virtually any sized patient, on any bed, in any position.  Truly the next generation of nuclear imaging platforms, SKYLight also allows medical professionals to image two different patients simultaneously, offering unparalleled efficiency gains for busy imaging departments.

The revolutionary SKYLight gamma camera incorporates JETStream to accelerate and streamline the entire imaging process from start to finish.  JETStream features concurrent imaging to enable clinicians to acquire multiple image sets simultaneously.  Now, a single data acquisition produces as many as fifteen different image sets configured around various agent and imaging parameters resulting in superior image quality and more comprehensive data.

 Features and Benefits

The first gantry – free gamma camera for exceptional flexibility – offering the ability to image virtually any patient, in any condition, in any position.

The next generation of nuclear imaging platforms – fully prepared for molecular imaging.

Free dimensional positioning for unique clinical applications.

Concurrent imaging enables the acquisition of up to 15 image sets simultaneously, each with different parameters and protocols, to generate optimal image quality and reduce acquisition steps.

DualPlanar option allows the simultaneous acquisition of images of two different patients in planar mode using different acquisition parameters.

"Mega-Body" mode allows both detectors to be used side-by-side in the same orientation for large-area planar imaging.

Eliminates the need for an imaging table or transporting heavy carts when changing collimators.

JETStream, a state-of-the-art JAVA-based nuclear medicine acquisition system, offers dramatic improvements in workflow, user interface, and flexibility.

Optional JETStream Workspace –  Philips next generation, comprehensive nuclear medicine Windows XP-based workstation. Display, processing, review, reporting and image archiving can exist at a single location or distributed in multiple locations throughout the department.
